Arts Student Body Council
The Arts Student Body Council (ASBC) represents all undergraduate Faculty of Arts students at the University of Manitoba. We are a team of volunteers that seeks to improve the experience of Arts students by arranging events, opportunities, and initiatives; making resources accessible to all Arts students; lobbying for issues that impact Arts students and that students care deeply about; and creating a community in Arts that is inclusive, supportive, and friendly to all students.

What We Do
Academics
We are responsible for organizing academic events such as the Career Round Table and the textbook sale during the fall term. We also provide information on academic resources for our students to use should they choose to. We are also responsible for locker sales.
Social
We are responsible for planning and executing the First Affair (a beverage garden) in the fall term and the Final Affair at the end of the winter term. We also will hold multiple smaller social events throughout the year for our students.
Support
We are here to advocate for the interests of the Arts student body at UMSU Senate meetings, UMSU BOD meetings and on issues that affect the student body. We are also responsible for maintaining the Arts Lounge on the second floor of Fletcher Argue.
